Kick Off a Break to Eastbourne with EBFC & Premier Inn

Eastbourne Borough Football Club are celebrating their third season in the Blue Square Premier and teaming up with the resort’s official tourism website VisitEastbourne.com to entice away fans and new visitors to discover the town with special offer Football Breaks bookable online.

This year EBFC will face teams from across the country including newly promoted teams from rival destinations Southport, Bath City, and Newport County, and VisitEastbourne.com wants to offer these new away fans the chance to combine a football match with a short break in the country’s sunniest resort.

VisitEastbourne.com has teamed up with EBFC and Eastbourne Premier Inn to offer away fans the chance to book an overnight stay and a ticket for a home fixture at Priory Lane for just £39 per person.

Eastbourne Borough Council Cabinet Member for Tourism, Cllr Neil Stanley said “We are delighted that Eastbourne Borough Football Club are entering their third season in the Blue Square Premier, the highest division of non-league football, and really excited by the opportunity this gives us to attract new visitors to our beautiful resort. We are always looking for new and unique ways to appeal to new audiences and extend the tourism product we offer. We want to welcome travelling football fans to Eastbourne and hope that after enjoying a special offer football break, they will want to return here and enjoy a longer stay in future.”

EBFC kick off their 2010/11 season next month with their first home fixture against Hayes and Yeading on Tuesday 17 August, closely followed by a game against Wrexham on Saturday 21 August.

The Football Breaks compliment the special offers already available on VisitEastbourne.com, and away fans wanting to cheer on their teams in Eastbourne are encouraged to book the discounted package early.

Travelling fans can enjoy a night’s stay in Premier Inn, the closest hotel to EBFC’s home ground at Priory Lane, plus get a ticket to the match for just £39. The special offer package is now available for all of EBFC’s home games in the 2011/11 season but with limited availability, fans are encouraged to book quickly for this year’s fixtures which include teams such as Luton, AFC Wimbledon and Grimsby Town.
