Wittdo's success travels across Dorset and Hampshire.

After a successful launch in Bournemouth, Wittdo is being rolled out to tourism and leisure business across the rest of Dorset and Hampshire.

Wittdo provides a free service for small businesses, that really does answer the question "What is there to do?".

The service is designed to help visitors and residents more easily discover local attractions and events. Offering free online widgets to businesses to help provide their customers with a comprehensive, accurate and up to date source of local attractions and events.

However, Wittdo is different to traditional listings sites. Not only is it updated weekly with thousands of things-to-do, but there is no advertising anywhere on the site. It is funded entirely by a membership program and the model has attracted attention from tourism organisations across the UK.

Wittdo's CEO, Chris Jenkins, a former manager at the BIC said "Wittdo provides a simple solution to a frustration for small businesses and their customers. It provides reliable and current local information in one place. The customer doesn't have to search for hours, or trawl through adverts selling them stuff they don't want. Meanwhile it saves staff time."

Local businesses in Bournemouth seem to agree. Some of the first hotels on board included the The Balincourt Hotel, The Queens Hotel and Ross Court Hotel. The Quality Hotel's Claire Snape said: "The website will help to save a great deal of time for staff and provide a great resource for staff and guests".

Unexpected success came from Language Schools in Bournemouth who saw the benefits immediately with Barry Henwood of MLS International School being first to sign up. Elaine Sparke from Bournemouth Business School International said "We were very impressed by Wittdo and feel that it will be a great benefit for our website and our students."

Wittdo also caught the eye of the conference market and the Bournemouth International Conference Bureau. The BICB's manager, Karina Gregory said "It's a great resource for us and our clients. The more local information that we can share with our clients as a result of Wittdo, will make Bournemouth a more attractive place for them to do business."

After the initial success of "What Is There To Do?" the Wittdo team created "Where Is There To Stay". Another free widget aimed at attractions and venues to help drive demand for local hotels. It is Britain's most comprehensive accommodation search service giving customers the chance to search, compare and book the right place for their budget.

Businesses can access the free Widgets online at www.wittdo.org and find out how to become a member to support the award winning social enterprise.
